He traveled the world shooting and collecting guns, going as far as New Zealand to shoot sporting clays and to Argentina to hunt birds. As a young man, he was drawn to skeet competition shoots, but in his later years came to favor sporting clay competitions. He had a love for all shooting sports, shooting clubs and organizations, alike. Since John first saved up enough to purchase his first BB gun as a young boy, he had set out on a journey of passion for firearms and friendship in the gun community.
